How to make a professional looking product box in 7 simple steps
Once upon a time, in a galaxy not so far away, I made a (quasi)badge for Jojitah’s Spontaneity blog. There were those who may have liked it and may have thought I did made a massive amount of effort in creating it. Actually I did an effort but not as massive as how you may have thought. If you want to make a similar badge without having to pester me with your requests, I’ll show you how I made it in 7 simple steps.
Disclaimer: Jojitah did not pester me with requests to do the badge, I voluntarily offered my free service.

I must warn you that the instructions below may look too techie but it’s actually not. You only have to follow the step-by-step instructions carefully. Simultaneous reading and following the instructions is the key to this activity.
1. Download the free Pro Box action script from Adobe Exchange. It’s free and here’s the quick link.
2. Unzip the files in your local folder.
3. Edit the FRONT and SIDE image files and save.

4. In Photoshop, load the Pro Box action script from the Actions Panel (make sure the Actions panel is open, from the menu click Window » Actions) Refer to below images for reference.

Note: I’m only using Photoshop 7 so I assure you that the free action script will work on this version or higher.
5. Run the script by highlighting the Pro Box action and pressing the PLAY button.

6. The script will run automatically and in the middle of the process, it will ask you to locate the FRONT and SIDE files you have just created. Follow the procedures on the screen alerts.

7. Save the image as you would do to a normal Photoshop file. You have just finished creating a professional looking product box image. In case you want to explore the other benefits of using action scripts on Photoshop, I will publish a series of explanations within the week. I know your mind have been troubled enough with the above tutorials so I’m leaving you for a few days of rest and come back here for the more geeky stuff later.
You may continue enhancing you product box by highlighting Pro Box Shadow and Pro Box Shop and pressing PLAY for shadow effect and optimized cropping.
